Rare and special Uptrip cards
Last reviewed
Looking for Uptrip rare and special cards? The data behind this site paints a sober picture. Every card carries a rarity label, but it is part of the card's data and tells you nothing about demand. What really sets cards apart are the specials: series outside the usual city, aircraft and airline cards, a few of them spread over more than a single edition. This guide explains the labels you will meet here and how to find these cards on offer.
Rarity labels
Each card in the data behind this site has a rarity field, and the card tiles display its value as delivered. In our card data, the value that shows up on city, aircraft and special cards is common. Whether the Uptrip app treats a card as rare, now or later, is Uptrip's call. Look it up in the app rather than reading more into the label than it says.
Grander names do appear on this site, just in another place. The legend of the map pairs short haul and long haul with labels that run from common to ultra rare. It explains how the map colours airports, and it is not a price scale.
Editions
An edition marks a variant inside a series of cards. City cards in our data all share the same edition label, so for them the field tells you little. Specials work differently. Usually a special has a single edition that carries the special's own name, while a few, such as Welcome, Member and Birthday, come in more than a single edition. Where editions of a special share a name, the site adds a number to tell them apart. Each special edition gets a separate page here, showing its cards and the offers open right now.
Looking for a particular version? The card lists on airline, city, aircraft and edition pages can be filtered by rarity and by edition.
Specials and special editions
Besides cards for the departure city, the arrival city, the plane and the airline that operated it, a flight sometimes brings a special card in the Uptrip app as well. Specials form series of their own with names like Travel ID, Find Me If You Can or Merry Christmas.
Some series keep a technical name. nft_artist_character and nft_artist_city are listed under exactly these names. Their pages lead on to their editions, and the edition pages show the cards behind those names.
Specials named after countries
A whole group of specials carries country names, among them Uruguay, Schweiz and Kolumbien. The names appear in the form the card data uses, which is often German. These are card series of the Uptrip app; their names say nothing about the countries themselves. Like any other special, each of them has a page here that leads to its edition, where its cards and offers are listed.
Finding them on the market
Every special is listed on the specials overview, and from each special you can move on to its editions. Card tiles show the cheapest current offer of a card, or say that it is not for sale at the moment. That changes as sellers come and go, so a card without an offer today may be listed again later.
Neither the rarity label nor the edition tells you what a card costs. For that, set its open offers against the sales recorded lately and read how prices work on Uptrip Card Market.
