Which Uptrip collections are worth it?

Compare 6 available Uptrip collections: the cost of the cards you can buy on OpenSea against the estimated face value of each reward.

6 available collectionsNo reward value

This page compares collections, not the Uptrip app. Each reward is valued at its face value or by a cited range, and rewards without a reliable value are listed without a number.

How we value rewards

Vouchers in euros: the face value

For a euro voucher we take the amount named in its reward text, its face value, exactly as it stands: no discount, no resale price and no guess of our own. Read it as a ceiling: the voucher is useful to you up to that amount and no further. Its terms can bring that down, since each voucher in our table is tied to a single provider. Where and until when it applies is set in the Uptrip app, and the app is binding, not this page.

Vouchers in Swiss francs

A voucher in Swiss francs needs an extra step: we convert its amount into euros. The rate is the euro reference rate of the European Central Bank, and the reward shows the date of the rate we use. You can look the rates up yourself on the ECB page of euro reference rates(opens in a new tab). A later review with a newer rate can move the euro amount, while the voucher itself stays the same.

Miles

Miles get a range instead of a single amount. Miles & More names no euro price per mile that we could find, so the range comes from the reisetopia guide to mile values(opens in a new tab). Its bottom end reflects miles spent on goods from a shop; its upper end is the guide's average for the better uses of miles. Where a reward of yours lands inside that range depends on how you use the miles. The range is a third-party estimate, not a statement by Miles & More.

Rewards without a number

Many rewards get no euro figure from us, because there is no reliable value we could point to:

  • Points, Qualifying Points and status levels: we found no published cash value.
  • Percentage discounts: the saving is a share of a purchase we cannot know in advance.
  • Lounge, Wi-Fi and eSIM vouchers: we found no published price for these exact offers.
  • Merchandise and experiences: no public list price turned up for the specific item or event.
  • Raffle tickets: the prize is uncertain, so there is nothing fixed to put a price on.

Collections with such a reward still show their cost and the reason, but no difference is shown for them.

The cost side

Against the reward we set the cost: the price of every card in the collection that can be bought, taken from the cheapest offers on OpenSea right now. Originals stay out of this sum, because a bought card never counts as an original. You get originals from your own flights in the Uptrip app. Offers appear and disappear, so the cost and every difference built on it move with them. You find the same comparison on the page of each open collection, reachable from the collections overview. How originals and bought cards fill a collection is explained in our collections guide, and the guide to originals sets out which cards count as originals.

The Uptrip app is binding. Rewards, their terms and what a collection asks for are whatever Uptrip sets there. The values on this page are estimates to help you compare, not a recommendation.
